Been in boxing for over 40 years as a boxer, trainer, mentor and coach (amateur and professional). I am a 4x time Golden GLOVES champion/state champion and 1984 US Olympic trials hopeful! My brother and I have 2 boxing gyms in Dallas and have both amateurs and profes including men, women and children. I teach group co-ed boxing classes and private lessons for men women and kids (contact and non-contact). MONTOYA BOXING GYM. I’m certified with USA boxing and licensed to train boxers in Texas Nevada New York and Puerto Rico. I completed 15 years as a boxer and trained many champions. Competed 15 years four time Golden Gloves champion state champion 1984 Olympic trials hopeful for the United States come from a long long list of family members are competed including my father uncle brothers sister cousin and grandson. I trained boxers at gold gym fitness factory YMCA and many other boxing gyms in Dallas including Southern Methodist University

$50-$100 an hour which includes a jump rope and hand wraps at no cost!
How did you get started teaching?
Competed as a boxer for over 15 years as a boxer my father was a boxer my brothers are all boxers my sister was a boxer my son was a boxer and my grandson. Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I work with many professional boxers as well as amateurs both men and women I am most proud of the nationally televised boxing events I do with ESPN CBS Sports and HBO boxing
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Understanding their needs and wants also are they interested in losing weight learning self-defense? Is it contact or noncontact boxing they want? Do they want to compete or they just simply doing for exercise/discipline/self defense?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What exactly are they expecting to learn from a coach? is it not contact OR contact boxing? how committed are you? With selecting a coach make sure they are well qualified and certified anyone claim to be a BOXING COACH!
