My teaching approach:
I begin with how to choose & take care of instrument, how to string guitar & how to tune the guitar. I teach numbers, music theory, chord campatibility & key structure, beginning with 1st position. I play 5 different instruments including guitar. Major influences were Chet Atkins, Mel Bay & BB King. I had formal jazz lessons under John Perkins. I've open shows for big name acts & local bands.
