By using the process of positive reinforcement, Coach Michael and Texas Top Soccer will ensure all athletes experience an uplifting environment. This will motivate and encourage the skills and habits within the player to progress in a manner that achieves their goals on and off the field. We concentrate on ball control, player movement and field awareness which grows the player as an individual in which they can apply to their position in a team structure.
I am Nationally Licensed by the United States Soccer Federation as a soccer coach and am currently on staff with the Houston Dynamo/Dash Youth Soccer Club. I began playing when I was 4 and began coaching when I was 18 and soccer is not something I like, it is a sport that I love. It instilled in me the confidence, persistence, work ethic, determination, mindset and habits that have molded me into the man and father that I am today.
My goal is to accomplish the same in all of my athletes.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Soccer Specific-Evaluate skill, understand their goals, create lesson plan including positional drills, individual movements and game scenarios then implement.
Fitness Specific-Evaluate fitness, understand their goals, create lesson plan including body weight functional exercises (ie. burpees, pushups, squats, sit ups, etc) then implement.

Began coaching in college at the age of 18 for the YMCA under 12 age group

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having my Northland Christian School Varsity Boys be ranked #2 in the State of Texas. The boys worked hard for that ranking and we were all very proud of that accomplishment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the coach understands what you want to accomplish and verify their coaching plan is aligned with your goals.
