
After recovering from Lyme disease since 2002 I've been immersing myself in Yoga practice. It helped me heal, overcome fears and enjoy my life again. After my recovery I wanted to bring Yoga to Everyone - you can even practice Yoga while sitting in a chair. I teach Yoga of Awareness, based in Breath (Pranayama), Mudra and Mantra, as well as meditation. We practice a style of Yoga depending on every person's needs - be it seated, flowing (Vinyasa) or more static postures or breathing exercises. Yoga will help you regain strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration.
If you have injuries like ankle sprain & back pain (also sciatica), we'll work on strengthening through the use of the alignment principles. Each class we'll end with a Restorative yoga posture that invites a healing space for well-being.

I've taken Gundega's yoga & pilates classes for several years, and would recommend her to everyone, whether you're new or experienced. She varies the poses and exercises from class to class, and it's always a workout that's both energizing and relaxing.
I was a regular student of Gundega's for several years (until life and work got crazy!). She is a fabulous Yoga instructor. She paces the classes well - new students are encouraged to improve without feeling pressured, and she ensures more experienced students don't get bored. That can be tough in a class with multiple skill levels. She also makes classes fun, something that some Yoga Instructors forget.
