Q & A

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I do a 1 on 1 checkup. I will lead you through moving your body, I pay attention to opening your joints, I watch your flexibility, stiffness, and pain. Particularly, if your body starts hurting, I will know because you will make faces at me, so I back off as I do not want you to hurt your body or create more resistance. My checkups are about 1 hour to 1.5 hours. About 30 minutes of movement, followed by breathing postures, meditation and if needed gut/energy healing.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified Body and Brain Management Consultant. I focus on opening the meridians of the body to aid healing. I have done my own study of the chinese organ clock and how to eat to support the body, based off of the meridian and chi energy system. I am a student of massage therapy and will be taking the national exam for massage Therapists by December.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I also do private lessons either here at the center or at your home.  A package of 10 sessions each for 1 hour is $500 and if private lessons involve drivingto you there may be a sur charge for mileage.

How did you get started teaching?

I was a student at Body n Brain, and I saw great benefit to my body, so I started coming to class more. As I continued to work and grow stronger, I wanted to do more, so I did some of their programs in Sedona and just kept experiencing deep healing, so I did more programs and before you knew it a year had gone by and I had done all the requirements, so I was hired by the company as an instructor and this year I have purchased Sun City center as a franchise.

What types of students have you worked with?

Sun City is known as a retirement community but I still get several young people. Evening class, is a good time for younger people as you are stronger (5 until 7 pm on the Chinese Organ clock corresponds to kidneys, and that your body can be 30% stronger at that time) and we can do more exercise, opening of the body etc.   I have many people with chronic illness (like Parkinson's, Fibromyalgia, and Multiple Sclerosis). I have people recovering from Cancer and Ulcers, so I customize everything.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I did an Optimum Gut Health workshop on Sunday. I taught participants some exercises so they could warm, open and heal their bodies, we did Belly Button Healing so they could stimulate circulation to their gut and improve digestion and immune function and then I prepared a Chronobiotic Feast so they could experience how they can eat with their their organ systemd and help heal their bodies.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find the person, that you think has your best interest at heart. Intention, is a powerful part of healing, if someone wants to help you get better you will feel it.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I think students should feel free to express themselves when they are comfortable. Your question, at whatever time it comes is divinely inspired and I will do my best to treat it that way.
