About
Mobile yoga and meditation providing space for other's to heal. I am a retired Police Sergeant who has a passion for helping others, specializing in those with PTSD, first responders and military. I started my yoga teaching career after retiring 26.5 years in Law Enforcement with Scottsdale Police Department. First as a Bikram hot yoga teacher, and then branching out and ultimately creating my own business. E-RYT500 (experienced yoga teacher certified through Yoga Alliance). I gained my further education through Southwest Institute of Healing Arts with completion of their 600 hour program, and 100 hours of Aromatherapy and additional 100 hours from the Amrit Yoga Nidra Institute. My offerings include gentle yoga, YIN, restorative, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healing and Aromatherapy. I provide all the necessary props for you to enjoy your session. Private and groups up to 10.
After retiring from law enforcement, I was in need of redefining my purpose. As a yoga and meditation teacher, I have found joy, happiness and a sense of purpose in helping others find their own path to health and peace. We live in a very chaotic and stressful world so anything I can do to help minimize the impacts is a blessing to me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to chat on the phone first, if possible, to gain a bit of background on them, find out about any injuries, and what they are looking for exactly, and to answer any of their questions.
First session, is meet and greet, get comfortable and begin to work on yoga postures and/or meditation. I like to use essential oils in my sessions too.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
E-RYT500 Experienced yoga teacher and YACEP through Yoga Alliance. 500 hours advanced yoga training, 100 hours Aromatherapy, Certified Aromatherapist, 100 hours Amrit Yoga Nidra guided meditation training, instructed over 2000 hours of private, studio, classroom and workshop events (Instructed at over 15 yoga studios throughout the Southwest and my own mobile business). In addition, working 26.5 years in law enforcement managing defensive tactics and field training program, I have decades of experience in helping others "learn" and "heal."
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have several options available to meet students’ needs. I have a small yoga studio space at my home where I can fit four students at a time, includes all necessary props, and flexible times to suit busy schedules. This space is available (see photo) for $20/hour for the first person with each additional friend for $10. Option #2 is that I come to the student and bring all necessary props to include mats, blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, crystal bowls, aromatherapy for $60/hr, $90/90 minutes with each additional person $10 each.
How did you get started teaching?
I needed something to do after I retired from law enforcement. I have since found my purpose and a reason to get out of bed!!
What types of students have you worked with?
Pretty much all ages. Small groups and private sessions are my favorite. Folks with prior military and first responders too.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Allow yourself to be honest and true. Not every teacher is the right fit for every student. Also be willing to explore possibilities. You are so much stronger than you think you are.
