About
I teach one on one from my home. I do a good amount of my own training here so having a class will make the workout and training even more beneficial. I love a positive attitude and a lot of positive energy! I am from San Diego so I keep the ocean with me where ever I go. I am an up and coming mma fighter training out of MMA GOLD. I have 6 muaythai bouts and 2 cage fights. I have competed in a few different bjj tournaments. Also competed at a few different wrestling tournaments in 2012(Army And Navy Academy in Carlsbad CA). I also coach at Mattime in Loomis, CA.
I enjoy everything about the work I do! We grow and learn together. I love teaching martial arts to anyone eager to learn. I have been practicing for 11years and I’m never going to stop! I first began practicing to keep bigger bullies off of my back while I got my midde school and highschool education taken care of. Martial Arts has become a healthy balance in my life most would refer to as my Ying and Yang. I wish to help other martial artists grow and learn as I did and still do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will talk with my student to find out where the interest lies. What goals we are to crush together and what we are willing to do to get there! Once this is established, we will begin practicing our daily warm-up exercises. I will go step-by-step to see what level you are. After warming up, we will Shadow Box and begin basic training. For more experienced levels we will begin striking techniques. I will hold mitts for you while making sure your footwork is there. These steps vary depending on experience level, knowlege and goals discussed in the beginning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began wrestling in 6th grade and finnished my senior year of Highschool. I fell in love with MMA in 7th grade watching Pride fighting and the UFC, before they began to wear gloves. I was on and off with football and wrestling, I wasn't the most enthusiastic about anything on campus so I started an MMA club at Team Quest in Oceanside CA. I graduated from ANA to continue to ASU, Arizona State University, to join the wrestling team and the Pankration team. I was informed during my sports physical that I had no ACL and I could not join the wrestling team or the Pankration team so I moved back home for surgery and continued my education to community college. After winning my first cage fight and first two muay thai fights I decided to move to Sacramento to continue my martial arts further. Now I am at MMA GOLD in Eldorado Hills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would like to speak to each individual before setting a standard pricing in stone but of the bat I will only be charging 50$ an hour. Pricing will depend on distance, to me or to you, how many classes scheduled and number of students attending. So contact me on FB or by email and we will figure out what works for you!
How did you get started teaching?
I was training for my first cage fight and a few of the other students came up to me asking for advice. Confused, I gave them all I could and it wasnt too long after that they mentiond how cool it is that I am pro! I am not pro, so after saying so they continued to express their thirst for knowledge. This was the first time I felt capable to teach! I believe we are all students together with much to learn from one another and no ONE person has ALL the information to give. This being said I learn from all that surrounds me and I offer my experience and knowledge to you!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience working with people of all gender, shapes and sizes. There is one limitation and that is no limitation! We will work cardio, strength, speed, stamina of all kinds to fit what your goals consist of. The human body is quite the vehicle when running off the proper fuel!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Training at MMA GOLD as a team means that everyone trains and teaches eachother. I have helped UFC fighters, Invicta fighters and soon I hope to be up there as well!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
This sport is very competative so any pro fighter or even inexperienced coaches will carge you way too much. Make sure you find someone that is willing to teach you for what you are paying. Many teachers will pick and choose depending on skill lvl. Also there is not much care and communication when it comes to big name gyms etc.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure you have an idea of what you want to learn. The more bullet points you offer, the better idea your teacher will have on what workouts to give.
