Ava K. says, "I have done numerous Yoga classes in my day offered through my gym memberships, or through viewing well-known Yoga instructors’ videos/DVDs. Mona’s classes were the first where I actually LEARNED the physics of certain poses/exercises. I was blown away in learning I had been doing several things wrong and not once had known until Mona’s verbal guidance (seriously, just her descriptions via an online class!) told me otherwise. No matter the level, you’ll learn something new in every class!" Read more

Sarah Z. says, "“IT HAS TRULY BEEN SUCH A BLESSING ON MY HEALING JOURNEY TO CONNECT AND WORK WITH RAINAH. BEFORE WORKING WITH HER, I WAS FLOATING ALONG LIFE, NOT LISTENING CLOSELY TO MY INTUITION OR LIFE PURPOSE, EXPENDING MY ENERGY IN PLACES THAT DIDN’T SERVE ME, AND WAS NOT VERY IN TOUCH WITH MY TRUE NATURE. WITHIN ONE SESSION I BROKE FREE FROM SEVERAL LIMITING BELIEFS AND MASKS I HAD WORN IN ORDER TO RECONNECT WITH MY HIGHER SELF AND LIFE’S CALLING. RAINAH CREATED SUCH A SAFE PLACE FOR ME TO HEAL AND BREAK DOWN WALLS THROUGH OFFERING SUPPORT, HEALING TOOLS, ENERGY WORK, AND ENCOURAGEMENT IN MOVING FORWARD IN A NEW LIFE PATH FOR MYSELF, FULL OF DAILY HEALING, CONNECTION, AND PURPOSE. SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INTUITIVE, ABLE TO ASSIST ON ALL LEVELS - PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL. SHE OFFERS GENTLE GUIDANCE AND HAS AN EXTREMELY GROUNDING, CARING ENERGY ABOUT HER. SHE WORKS WITH ME AT MY OWN PACE AND DOES NOT GIVE ME MORE THAN I CAN HANDLE. HER PASSION TO SERVE HUMANITY AND MOTHER EARTH IS VERY APPARENT IN HER DEMEANOR AND THE WAY SHE LIVES HER LIFE. SHE ALSO HAS BEEN VERY INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING ME RECOVER FROM A 5 YEAR OLD INJURY WITH PHYSICAL TRAINING, SOMETHING I’D BEEN WORKING ON FOR YEARS AND HAD NOT YET FOUND A MODALITY THAT WAS HELPING ME MAKE THE GAINS I NEEDED. OVER OUR TIME WORKING TOGETHER WE’VE DEVELOPED A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP AND I’M HAPPY TO CALL HER A SISTER NOW. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND RAINAH TO ASSIST ANYONE NEEDING HEALING AND GUIDANCE!”" Read more

Your Yoga Classes questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do yoga classes cost?

Single group sessions at yoga studios cost $15 to $20 on average. For private yoga training, you will likely spend between $30 and $70 on each lesson. Yoga classes mostly take place in a group setting, and the price per class depends on the location, yoga teacher’s knowledge and experience, and years of teaching.

How long is a yoga class?

On average, a yoga class is 75 to 90 minutes long. Many instructors say 90 minutes is simply how long it takes to pace through all the sacred yoga asanas, but a new shorter 60 minute class is quickly becoming popular with students.

What to wear to yoga class?

Most women prefer to wear tank tops or a sports bra that's made of a cotton and lycra (spandex) blend when they do yoga. Loose tee shirts and underwire bras are usually a no-no because they have a tendency to get in the way of movement.

For the bottoms, most women prefer to wear tights. These comfortable and stretchable pants will provide you with a full range of movement and allow your instructor to check your alignment. For slower-paced classes, you may be able to pull off wearing long skirts or stretchable harlem pants.

What to bring to yoga class?

Although many necessities are usually provided for you, there are a few things you may still want to bring yourself.

Here's what to bring to yoga class:

  1. Comfortable yoga attire
  2. Water bottle
  3. Hand towel
  4. Yoga mat
  5. Change of clothes
  6. Post-yoga snack

How often should you do yoga?

For those who are already quite active, doing yoga at least once or twice per week is recommended. For experienced practitioners, doing yoga every day is not uncommon. However, if you begin to be sore, consider taking a day or two off. Even if you only do you for one hour a week, you will experience the benefits of the practice.

How long does it take to get good at yoga?

There are many beginner yoga poses and sequences that you can get good at in your first yoga class. On a more spiritual level, it may take a lifetime to find the union between mind, body and spirit. You should expect to practice regularly for about six months before you feel confident that you can perform fundamental poses steadily and with some degree of proper form.

Reviews for Castle Rock yoga studios

Recent success stories from people in the Castle Rock area.
Mark G.
I’m a 63-year-old male and haven’t worked out for nearly 30 years. I was looking for a trainer who could not only motivate, but also work with someone my age. I was fortunate to meet Rainah through a friend and started working out with her. We originally started on a two-day schedule but because of her overall knowledge and unique training ability we soon went to a three-day workout. She mainly uses my body weight for most routines but has added lighter weights as we have progressed. Needless to say when I started working out with Rainah I was not only weak, but my cardio was lacking. She recognized this early on and tailored a workout around my abilities and slowly increased the workouts as my strength increased. It’s now been a year and I have increased my overall body strength and improved my balance immensely. I highly recommend Rainah for a trainer as her knowledge allows her to work within “your” ability, she adjusts to your schedule and will also guide you on a nutritional path. Not to mention her wonderful personality that makes her a joy to be around.
