Hi I'm Alexx Magic! For the past 13 years I have been a dedicated teacher to students of all ages and levels, tailoring each lesson to the individual. I teach music like a language. We will let one element flow into another to help you learn holistically. We will make a Wish List together of your favorite material, along with suggestions from myself to help you learn the songs you love and learn to maybe even write or improvise music like that! If you’re into it we can also explore improvisation and composition of your own songs! It is my pleasure to help you reach your goals, to learn to strategize and enjoy steady progress and achievement.
Music is what I eat sleep and breathe, so, what's not to love?! Every moment of the process of learning music, making music, collaborating, performing, composing, and teaching others is what I do best and love to do. I hope to make your experience as pleasurable and as challenging as you would like and hope to make it a very positive and engaging experience :)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
From the very first lesson I am learning about each individual student so I can tailor the experience to their own interests and abilities. A beginner will start with age appropriate method books and easy arrangements of their favorite songs. Getting to know a student with more experience takes some effort to find the appropriate level. From there, the sky is the limit! We can practice any style, any song or composition you like, and if it’s too difficult, we can develop a plan together to learn what’s needed to achieve those goals. It’s very important to me that each student can find their “Why” through building wishlists and setting goals.
