Joanne gives very good instructions and always makes sure you are going at your own pace. Her classes are challenging but also very relaxing. She has a calming and clear direction. Amazing teacher !

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I first find out what type of yoga experience they have. I'd like to find out what they are hoping to get out of the yoga classes and what kind of classes they like. I think it's good to take time at the end of the class to see what worked and didn't work for them, and also give them the opportunity to ask questions throughout class.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my 500 hour yoga certification, I have my Reiki to certificate and I've been trained in trauma based yoga.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I do not have a standard pricing system, because I like to see what exactly the person is looking for and if there are other people joining them for the lessons.

How did you get started teaching?

I have done yoga for over 20 years and have loved how it is has helped my mind and my body. I want to share Yoga with his many people as possible… So I decided to become an instructor and help people as much as I can.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with all types of students. I teach a variety of classes, beginner classes, restorative classes and Vinyasa classes.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I am very fond of spa yoga experiences. So the class usually lasts about 90 minutes. It includes gentle yoga, distant Reiki and meditation. I like to use essential oils, candle light, Spa music and of course a piece of chocolate at the end! This is one of my favorite classes.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would suggest that the type of class and the times of day work to begin. Then, I would give that person a chance and see if it's a good match.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I think they should decide what type of classes they're looking for, how many times a week they would like to practice and what they would like to pay per class.
