Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, before beginning to work with a new student/client, we will arrange for a Zoom session where we can get acquainted briefly, and so that I can understand the student/client goals for meditation, yoga practice, or Zentangle drawing classes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500 with Yoga Alliance)
Certified Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher
Certified Zentangle Teacher (CTZ #22 with Zentangle.com)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
You may go to my website to see program/pricing options. If you do not see what you are looking for, we can establish a specialized program for you when we meet on Zoom.

How did you get started teaching?
I have had a personal yoga practice for 15-20 years, and want to dig in deeper and learn more. This led to a passionate desire to share with others to show the pathway to happiness and contentment.
I was an art teacher for 30 years and fell in love specifically with the practice of Zentangle drawing. Again, wanting to know more, I got certified in order to share the kind of "flow" and peace that can be experienced in this meditational kind of drawing program.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 6-80.
Male and female.
Flexible and not-so-much.
Beginners and Intermediates.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My partner and I put on a lovely Tarot Chill-out Party, which included a session of Yoga Nidra (sleep yoga) to get the engery of the room ready for tarot card readings......all by Zoom. Fun!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Seek a teacher that wants to know what YOU want and is ready to listen and provide that to begin. Through the process of getting to know one another, the journey may lead deeper.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals? Are you able to clearly define them to your teacher? What is your budget? Is your mind open to suggestions and are you ready to learn some new things that may take you a bit out of your comfort zone? That's how we grow.
