If you’re looking for a commercialized, fad-yoga experience, this is not the place for you. I’m a firm believer in yoga as a lifestyle, not just a workout. I lead my classes with emphasis on connecting the mind, body and spirit through breath, meditation and asana. Expect to use props and spend a fair amount of time stretching the neck/shoulder area, low back and hips before moving into standing flows. My teaching style closly relates to Core Strength Vinyasa, which focuses on ways to achieve poses that are less compressing on the body.
I am RYT 200-Hour certified and am currently employed at a community fitness center in Inver Grove Heights, where I am also a fitness instructor and personal trainer.
