About

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. As a yoga instructor, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment for all levels of yogis and to provide the space needed for students to connect within and let go of daily stresses and worries. In my classes, I carve out time for meditation in the beginning and savasana (final resting pose) at the end, allowing for a practice that goes beyond just the physical.

The middle of my classes generally consists of flowing Vinyasa along with static poses and stretches to give a good overall workout. I encourage students to find proper alignment and provide modifications so that the poses are accessible to all.

I have a strong ability to work with people who may feel like they aren’t able to practice yoga due to age or physical limitations. Nothing thrills me more than developing a relationship with a client and showing them that yoga is for everyone.

My classes are open to all levels and abilities and I will encourage you to listen to your "body of the day" without judgment. Classes are welcoming, fun, and relaxing. You will leave feeling refreshed. Self-care and self-compassion are the best gifts you can give to yourself.

I offer group classes and private lessons at my studio in my home and am also available for private lessons - either at my studio or in your home.

A regular yoga practice is one of the best things you can do for yourself so that you CAN keep up with your life. It is vital for you to take care of yourself so that you can meet all the demands of your life. My goal as a teacher is to give you the space to connect within, to open and strengthen your body, and to relax and restore.

It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a guide in the yoga journey for others.

Frequently asked questions

When meeting with a new client, I like to find out if they are familiar with yoga at all and what they hope to get out of their yoga practice. I'm not a doctor or physical therapist but I do like to be aware of any particular physical limitations they may have so as to create a class that fits their needs. I am a very welcoming teacher who creates an environment that lifts and supports my clients. I often mess up and laugh at myself which I think makes for a very relaxed and open space for us.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. I received my 230 hour teacher training from Yoga Center of Minneapolis. I have additional training in Yin Yoga as well. I am fully insured and am able to bring the necessary props for locations outside of my home studio.

For group classes at my home studio, the rate is $15/person. You may also purchase a 5-class card for $65 (a savings of $10). If you would like private lessons, the cost is $50/hour. Some people like to have a private lesson at first, especially if they are brand new to yoga, in order to learn some of the basics. It also helps me as a teacher to learn more about you and what you are hoping to get from a yoga practice.
