About this pro

My teaching approach: My teaching approach really depends on the student. I don't know what they need until we meet. But some things are across the board. I feel that technical skills are necessary tools for getting you where you want to go. Scales, chord shapes and arpeggios are very important to being able to get around on a guitar. I also like to teach students to apply Indian vocal rhythms (tala) to guitar. My guitar lessons take place in: either your home or my studioGuitar Techniques: Rhythm guitar, Fingerpicking, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection

Tripp was my first drum teacher and remains the best drum teacher I’ve ever had. I started taking lessons from him 14 years ago when he was a student at Berkeley College of Music and we are still going strong today. He has not only taught me the fundamentals of physically playing the drums, but has gone deeper and taught me how to think about drumming and how to approach rhythm in general. He’s provided a good foundation that I have been able to build on, and it’s been great having his guidance along the way. We have done drum lessons both in person and over skype and both have gone really well. Whether you are a looking for your first drum lesson or you’ve been playing for years, I highly recommend Tripp.

Tripp's passion and expertise is consistently present in every lesson. Tripp Dudley was my teacher for over a year until we had to break due to his touring schedule. From his extensive repertoire, he was teaching me classical Indian music. A rigorous and extremely deep practice. You can be sure Mr. Dudley will deliver you expertise, passion, and steer you in the right direction.
