Love & Learn Yoga
About
I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher which means I have passed the rigorous assessment set by IYNAUS (Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States). To be able to take this test you are required to have studied and practiced yoga for at least 5 years and to have a Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher as a mentor. You have learned how to modify and help students in many different poses to bring about the proper body alignment and to modify for various physical ailments with a variety of props.
I enjoy teaching Iyengar yoga that focuses on the mindful movements of each pose and teaches the use of props to bring about optimal alignment and awareness in the body. I attempt to give my students a better sense of their bodies while learning yoga, improving their strength and flexibility and teaching them ways, through movement and breath work, to bring their minds inwards to bring about a sense of calm and stability.
