About
I am a rising senior at Brown University and I love teaching guitar! I have been playing since I was 6 and am a part of various rock, funk, blues, R&B, jazz, and alternative bands. I also have taught lots of students, including kids of all ages and adults -- I have especially gotten experience teaching from two years teaching guitar at a summer camp and three years at a synagogue.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. At the moment, I am only teaching remote lessons, but I have significantly reduced my rate as a result -- $15 for half-hour lessons and $25 for an hour. I am also happy to talk before teaching to let you know a little about myself!
Playing guitar is my favorite thing in the world, and I am always jumping at the opportunity to help people achieve their goals on guitar. I have experience with beginners who need the basics, and with more advanced players who want to expand their playing, and I have lots of fun with both. I always tailor my lessons to the music taste and individual goals of my students, because the most important thing is sustaining a passion for the music!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is always evaluating what a student has learned in the past and where they want to go in the future. Do they want to focus more on rhythm or lead playing? Do they want to learn songs they love or write their own? From there, it is extremely important to me to get a sense of the student's own music taste -- I believe that most guitar concepts can be taught across different genres, but I always want to make sure to focus on the music that the student likes most.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All lessons are online right now, and the price for online lessons is $20/half-hour and $30/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching while I was still in high school, when I worked as a music counselor at a summer camp with kids from ages 7-15. In college, I have continued teaching lessons at a local synagogue, mainly with middle and high schoolers, in addition to individual lessons (mostly with adults) in New York.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take 15 minutes and call me for a free informational session before we start! I am happy to talk and very friendly, and I think I am a great fit for any student.
