FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First and foremost I work in a relaxed atmosphere. I use positive re-enforcement, encouragement and stress that its ok to make mistakes.   I focus on the "love of the process" and that in a short time we will be working on songs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been playing guitar and singing for over 30 years. I have been in bands and I  love to play music with others.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching a friend of mine and I found that she was learning and I was really enjoying the process.

What types of students have you worked with?

Ages: 5 - 95

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Just because someone is a professional guitar player does not mean they are great at teaching. Find the person that loves playing and loves teaching.
