Before any physical work, it is important to get to know the student beforehand. Areas to be covered are: injuries, surgeries, areas of tightness, weakness, and pain. Goals in yoga, why they have chosen yoga and what they want to get out of it. From this information, I create a personalized yoga practice to cater to each individual's needs.
I have completed two different 200 hours of yoga teacher training and advanced yoga studies training. My second 200 hour training was with Shanon Buffington within the Sri Vidya lineage. I have trained with Srivatsa Ramaswami as it relates to Yoga for the Internal Organs. I have studied the yoga sutras and sanskrit under Dr. Katy Jane. I have studied a lot from Katy Bowman, who is a biomechanist. I also have spent the past 5 years immersing myself in yoga theory and meditation. I am still a student of yoga and am learning more and more everyday. My husband and I lead our own yoga school and are certified to lead our own 200 hour Advanced Yoga studies program.

I became passionate about yoga almost a decade ago after I started seeing how challenging and beneficial this practice was to me.My yoga practice helped me get through one of the hardest moments in my life. For this reason, I decided to become certifed to teach.
I have worked with athletes of all kinds. Before opening my studio I taught yoga to high school athletes. I have worked with basketball players, football teams, soccer teams, swim teams, cheerleaders, golf teams, softball, and volleyball. I have also worked with professional UFC fighers. I work with a lot of baby boomers! I work with people with injuries, after surgery and people trying to avoid surgery. I work with 14 to 90 year olds! I have taught chair yoga, private yoga and kid yoga!
