My niche is an emphasis on endurance, fat loss, strength and conditioning, and conditioning the body to become metabolically strong. I have fun with my clients and develop strong relationships. I care a lot about all my clients and their well being. I work with seniors, athletes, weight gain, weight loss, and maintenance clients. I also include nutrition coaching which is an integral part of healthy habit building.

    We hired Liz for private swimming lessons for our 6-year-old daughter during late summer (3X a week in August, total 13 sessions). We found Liz to be very personable, and an extremely skilled and knowledgeable coach. Liz is very accommodating with scheduling and drove down to our community pool for the lessons, which made it convenient for us. She communicates especially well with little ones and was super- patient with my daughter (who is no easy pupil, LOL). My daughter’s comfort level in the pool increased tremendously, and she mastered numerous skills including front and back float, streamline, back stroke, etc. in a relatively short time. I wish we had started her earlier in the summer, so she would have had more time with Coach Liz. We highly recommend Liz!


What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For personal training: I start with an assessment; in person we continue with goal setting, define a workout program most likely the program suitable for the needs of the client, and we scan the nutrition/lifestyle as well as review current habits. 

For swim lessons: I meet with the swimmer/parent and discuss and have a assessment swim to determine the swim level of the potential swimmer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have several certifications: NASM cpt, ces. USA swimming, ASCA. I also have NFPT.

I have a degree in exercise science and nutritional wellness from TWU.

How did you get started teaching?

In 2002 I started my competitive career. In 2005 I started aiding swim lesson teachers. In 2008 I started my own swim lessons with adults. Then finally in 2011 my career in independent mobile personal training took off: I continue to swim competitively and train competitively. 

I’m currently a swim triathlon coach at lifetime fitness and a mobile personal trainer.

What types of students have you worked with?

Personal Training: Some on the spectrum. Weight loss. Weight gain. Seniors. Athletes. Metabolically deficient clients. Triathletes. Pre Physical Therapy or Post Surgery with Physical Therapy. Corrective Exercise clients. Nutrition Counseling and nutrition coaching clients

Swim lessons: Beginner children and adults, intermediate, and advanced (levels 1-5, high school, and master swimmers)

Private swim coaching: endurance athletes or beginner recreational athletes

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, how dedicated and disciplined will you be in adhering to a fitness and nutrition program?

Are you aware that the healthier you are the more successful you are in every facet of your life? Financially, mentally, emotionally, and psychologically.
