The Clinic Boxing: MMA/ Personal Trainer
About
Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in The Clinic Boxing, a program dedicated to MMA/Performance Enhancement Training. This is a service provided by Antonio Pesquera, an experienced boxing and martial arts coach and physical trainer. To select your schedule, please email [email protected] to gain access to the Google Calendar.
Once we schedule our first meeting, you will be provided with a physical assessment that will help me design a specialized curriculum for you. The physical assessment is in no way, a licensed physician's professional assessment. It is a Certified Personal Trainer's assessment. By understanding this difference, you understand that The Clinic Boxing providing MMA/Performance Enhancement Training holds zero liability regarding any injuries that may come from–or were previously present prior to–the provided services.
Covid has made things very difficult for Independent Trainers, especially in being able to establish stable training facilities. To better assist you in scheduling your sessions, I have created a network of gyms that are accessible to my clients when accompanied by me. I can provide the locations via Google Maps when agreed upon. Some clients prefer home visits, especially when children are involved. That is not a problem. At a certain point of maximum progression, we will need to take our training to an actual boxing gym.
Different training styles I provide:
Casual: Cardio-Boxing, Music, Fun, High Intensity Interval Training. Main focus is weight loss
Personal Training: Includes light Boxing Technique Mitt work, Strength and Conditioning, H.I.I.T., Enhance Athletic Performance
Amateur/Professional Boxing Training: Curriculum-based USA Amateur Boxing Style training for competition
MMA Striking: Orthodox/Unorthodox Striking, Catch Wrestling to Ground. Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Takedown Defense
All Programs are integrated with the highest skill and professional acumen possible. All programs aspire to bring out the very best out of you! Whether you are about to head into your first Octagon experience, Cardio-Boxing or just want to get ready for that 10-year reunion. We got you

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to have a sit down about clients about fitness goals or Professional goals. Give an overview of my curriculum and get an understanding about the timeline we are look at to achieve both short term and long term goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Junior Olympic Nation Champion. I studied Kung Fu for 3 years and have been practicing Jujitsu for 5 years . I am Certified as a Group Fitness Instructor with the American Counsil of Exercise and I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am a Certified Cognitive Behvioral Therapy Facilitator.
How did you get started teaching?
I went on vacation a few years back, and decided that while I was in Vacation I'd volunteer at a boxing gym near by. The owner asked me to "audition" by working the Focus Mitts with one of his guys. Come to find out, it was Randall Bailey, current World Champ at the time and the Owner turned out to be John Davis Jackson, hall of fame Boxer and Coach. After the workout, he offered me the Head Coach position to his Amateur program. I decided to continue my education to able to better help my student grow, both physically and mentally
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from the age of 8 years old to almost 60 years of age, both men and women,
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend you sit down and have a conversation about the teachers philosophy and teaching style. Not all Teachers/Coaches are adaptable, or educated in avenuse of health and fitness. Understanding technique is one thing but understanding sports psychology and fitness helps maximise the students potential.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your short term goals vs Long term goals. Fitness or health concerns about injuries and teaching styles. Availability and scheduling are important to maintain a positive growth pattern.
