Recognizing that movement in the physical body, triggers emotional responses, these responses are often trying to tell us there is a greater need.  That need can be stress reduction, or the need for improvement in an area of our life.    Yoga is an exellent physical practice with health benefits and develop a deeper awarness. Using guided Meditaiton is a way to calm the many monkeys of the mind, allowing you to know your self deeper.  Life Coaching can combine all of these to help you to discover your true self and the purpose you carry to achieve.  

I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals in physical, and mental body.  Over many years I have obseved physical movement be disrupted by triggers in the emotional system.  The Life Coaching process cleared out many misbeliefs, moving me forward to self actualization.  I want to share this process with others, while combining my love for yoga and cleansing the mind with the meditative process. I am always studying to bring new exciting options to my classes and students.  I create guided meditations, use mantras, prana (breath work).  All contibute to self healing of body mind and soul.

    Visiting family and found myself having some pretty severe back and leg pain. I live in CA and often receive Reiki sessions for my discomfort. So happy I was able to find McKinney Wellness! I was able to get an appointment the same day and was fixed right up! For those of you unfamiliar or suffering with discomfort you really should spend some time with Phyllis. Such a wonderful soul and her healing hands work miracles. Not to mention the great yoga stretches to keep me going for the rest of my visit. ;)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Beginning with a brief telephone conversation lining out your basic goal. Second, we will schedule and initial evaluation and work session. plan out our scheule.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

B.S. degree in exercise science, with almost 30 years of experience working with people to achieve goals.  I hold certifications from ACE in personal and group training.  I have furthered that each year with continuing education.  I am currently in a course of study with ACE as Orthopedic Exercise Specialist.  


Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I have a pricing system based on initial session $75.00 hour,

package for the monthly commitment in studio   

Private session: yoga, pilates, training

4 sessions per month ……………$199.00

Small GROUP SESSIONS

 1 x per week: Group Classes/month…………$ 60.00

 Sessions outside of studio with travel within 20 miles.

$80.00 private

$18.00 per person small group limit 6.

Packages of 4 sessions $90.00 each for total of $360.00.


How did you get started teaching?

Began exercising as a way of improving my body and its function over 37 years ago.  I pursued a degree with the University.  My studies included posture and how to correct or improve optimal function in life. I studied psychology and later found a marriage of the two through yoga and pilates.  I worked in physical therapy helping patients recover from phsical injury.  Later my yoga studies lead me to further my minor studies in psychology pursuing the healing modalities or Reiki.  Our bodies hold psychology in their physical ability or disabiliity that needs to heal.  


What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with people from all ages and walks of life.  I enjoy the ones who want to achieve their goal and take a pro-active stance.
