I offer a personal and exceptional yoga experience. My classes go up to a maximum of 3 people, with private lessons also available. These small classes ensure that you will get the most out of your yoga practice. At a studio, teachers have many students to watch over and adjust. In a 1 on 1 class, or 3 on 1, I can offer hands on and specific instructions unlike any you could get from a studio.
In my teaching, I hold alignment of the postures above all else. Without proper alignment, one can practice just fine, but when the body is aligned, in the right form, so much more benefit comes forth. Joints are protected, muscles are strengthened, blood is pumped, and one can breathe better than ever.
On top of the Asana practice (the physical poses), I offer discussion of yogic philosophy. Topics that can be put into use in one's own practice and one's own life.
My favorite part of teaching a yoga class is seeing and hearing the surprise on the face of a student when I adjust them and suddenly they feel a sensation never felt before. There is nothing more enjoyable then talking with a student about their practice and listening to how they've evolved over time.
I love yoga not just because of my students, but also for my own practice. A feeling of pure joy washes over me when I get to practice, there is nothing like a good stretch to wash away all the worries of life.
