About

I discovered how running impacts the quality of life in several ways. After a difficult time in my personal life, I found running a great release and confidence builder. As years passed I gained more knowledge by trail and error and thru the comraderie of fellow runners. I became an officer of Island City Runners and had a hand in coaching others and answering their questions. I am certified as a run coach by Road Runners Club of America and USA Track & Field. See some of the acitivities of my runners at a Facebook page named "The Run Team - East Contra Costa.

I am delighted when I hear from a client how one training tip has made running more enjoyable and productive.

Effective! Coach Tony has quite a knack for identifying weak areas in my skill or performance. His training is well rounded with a range of run workouts, resistance training and strength training. His ability to tailor and adapt group runs to individuals who slower, not as strong or recovering from an injury.
Tony is knowledgeable. He has quite a network of professionals to stay current on run and recovery information.
    I highly recommend Runfitter Training!

I am a certified personal fitness trainer.

A run coach certified by RRCA and USATF with 20 years of experience.

Price can very but the standard client commitment is on a monthly basis at $160.

I was recruited by the Lymphomia and Luekemia Society to join their coaching staff in the Team in Training program.

I have worked individually with youths, high schoolers and adults.

Most of my work is with recreational adult runners who want to improve or overcome obstacles to being a better runner.

Coched a middle-aged woman to her first marathon, but had only 6 weeks to get her to the start line. She had some scheduling issues that found her short on time to train, before she hired me.

This is not an elite athlete so I was very pleased to hear she finished in 4 hrs, 24 mins without injury.

Is the coach willing to listen to you. Will the coach accept the resources you have and work with that.

Are you of a mind-set to being coached? You have to be ready to accept change and do the work.
