About

Movement specialties: yoga, meditation personal training-- training for climbing, mobility, and strength/endurance training. Whether you are an experienced athlete but are noticing a plateau in your performance or want to start picking up physical activity in your life we can work together. I am a strong proponent of physical training being more than just "physical". You got to sit down and do the work MENTALLY too. The biggest difference between someone who has established movement in their life vs someone who hasn't yet is their mindset towards movement. I have been involved in movement since as far back as I can remember. In both high school and college I played water polo and swam. I also trained Westminster and Cypress High School's varsity and junior varsity water polo and swim team. I graduated from college with my Bachelors in Molecular Cell Biology and Human Physiology. Shortly after I started working alongside physical therapists in a few different settings: orthopedics, acute, pediatrics, and rehabilitation centers. Alongside this, I received my certification in yoga and trauma yoga with the desire to delve deeper into meditation and "mindful movement" practice. This variety of experience has allowed me to cultivate my own way of approaching exercise. I truly believe there is a "TYPE" of exercise that everyone can come to find joy in. Whether you are interested in obtaining private yoga lessons to cultivate a "still mind" on and off the mat or working 1:1 on your physical fitness goals we can work together! I am so passionate about movement and what I do! I always ensure that you have the proper resources to slowly start uncovering how fitness/yoga/meditation can play a role in your life. Training Options: Zoom/Skype Sessions In Home Personal Training Outdoor workouts

What Kadisha enjoys most about teaching is ultimately seeing transformation. When students provide feedback about being completely "in the moment" despite whatever was going on in their life prior to their lesson, this is when life flows.

Physical transformation is only the tip of the iceberg.

Kadisha is a terrific swim instructor, and I can recommend her without hesitation. She taught me bilateral breathing (something I have tried and failed to do previously) which has helped me become a better, more efficient swimmer. Our swimming sessions have been a lot of fun and she has been patient and supportive at every step. If you’re looking for a swimming instructor, you cannot go wrong with Kadisha.

Finding this platform to take yoga lessons was the best thing that I could have searched for. First I can tell tell that Kadisha, the yoga instructor is very knowledgeable. During her sessions she provides a background in the yoga she is teaching. I also like that she’s very encouraging. I started doing yoga much later in my life so I like that through out her lessons she provides different alternative poses. I can still get the great relaxation workouts without having to worry about hurting myself.

Kadisha takes into account all levels in her practice - she gives us so many options if we don’t feel comfortable in a certain pose. I also love the balance she has between the “physical” yoga and the “spiritual” yoga. I’m able to work both in my fitness and more importantly, in my mindfulness and overall mental health. I feel supported throughout her session and am always looking forward to them. I learn something new every time!

Kadisha is a wonderful yoga teacher and her lessons have been very beneficial to me. I love the positive energy she brings to every lesson. She creates a warm and friendly environment for her students. She is very knowledgeable with yoga techniques and does a great job explaining how these techniques help the body. Being exposed to a variety of yoga styles through her teachings has made me realize which style I enjoy the most. Kadisha is very helpful, kind and genuinely passionate about her work. Not to mention, she has a soothing voice which I find very calming. It has been a great experience practicing yoga with Kadisha and this journey has helped me appreciate yoga even more!

    Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student creating a connection is key. Thus before starting any type of practice a consultation is held where we can discuss your goals and interest in yoga and meditation. Seeing if we are right fit for one another will help to ensure you have the best experience.

Since 2016 I have coached a few different high schools in movement based regimens while receiving my undergraduate degree. I graduated from California State University of Long Beach in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology with a minor in Chemistry in 2018. Since graduating I have worked alongside physical therapists and decided to get my certification in yoga shortly after! Recently I also obtained my Trauma Yoga certification. This has allowed to become more mindful and inclusive in my yoga sessions.

I have always been a teacher. I have coached water polo, swim, I've taught swim lessons, and tutored.

Teaching yoga fell into my lap. As a climber, movement and a still mind is key. I began practicing yoga as a way to control my mind into being completely immersed into the present moment. By becoming more in tune with this sense of quiet I  then began to actually LISTEN. This listening in turns has us tune in to what our bodies needs in this moment.

I then began practicing meditation and yoga daily. My transformation within the realm of yoga has encouraged me to share this with others.

Kadisha has taught those who have dealt with substance abuse, geriatrics, athletes, and those who are new to yoga.

As a reminder to new students who may be afraid to step in to yoga. This practice is unlike any other. In my opinion there are no levels. There is simply YOUR practice. The sooner we all see that the less comparing we do and the more we look inward and become more accepting of who we are at this moment.

After a guided meditation and yoga class one of my students messaged me "I was really IN the moment, which I have never felt while meditating before."

This moment holds near and dear to my heart. Ultimately yoga, is NOT just a physical practice. When others come to me with this insight for themselves I can't help but feel genuine joy for them too.
