I have worked with kids at Sivananda Yoga Kids Camp, teach at LA Sivananda Yoga Center, teach at a mental health facility located in Compton, and have taught at Signal Hill Library for a period of time.
I enjoy this work because I see the peace and love within these people who begin this practice. All of us live in a stressful world, so offering one to come home into oneself is such a blessing to give to others. Seeing one take charge and responsibility for their own lives is so inspiring. All my students inspire me.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at LA Sivananda center to practice and get more experience. I decided to do yoga because after coming from parent's who survived the genocide in Cambodia, I saw the value in peace of mind, and healing from trauma. I realized yoga was a great key to keep peace in this world and I would like to share this joy with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with Cambodians, at a mental health facility, children, middle schoolers in after school programs, and adults. I hope to work with a wide range of people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I work at an afterschool program with kids and also middleschoolers. We played basketball together and laughed a lot because the way I play is not that great, but they enjoyed it :) I was just very fond that they were joyful and happy.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give a student is to look for:
- Authenticity- are they genuine about helping you and serving you
- Leading by example- do they practice what they are teaching
- Peace- do you feel peaceful in their presence
- Safety- do they make you feel at home and comfortable
- Patient- are they patient with you?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about:
- Why do I want to do yoga? What is the purpose?
- What do I want to gain from this or improve?
- What are your short term and long term goals for yoga?
