About

My philosophy is that we use our entire body to heal and move safely. I teach the importance core stability in yoga and in day-to-day movement. I create customized lessons for my students and also put together weekly exercises for my students to do at home in order to increase health, healing and fitness in between our sessions.

Seeing my students learn more about their own bodies and how to move in them is wonderful. I also love to see them growing stronger and taller, emobdying yoga into their lives in an empowering way. It is as much mental work as it is physical, so seeing all of that come together for my students is gold.

    What a great gift! Had been thinking of exploring yoga off and on for ages. The idea of classes really didnt appeal so I decided to give myself a birthday gift of a series of private lessons to explore my interest. My choice could not have been better.
    I was lucky enough to find a terrific teacher. Melanie has helped me develop a beginning practice that is totally engaging. With her guidance I am doing routines that address my specific needs post knee and hip surgery. Because Melanie is particularly sensitive to my post surgical status and so experienced, she makes our sessions incredibly productive.
    I am making steady progress and enjoying the journey. Working with Melanie provides the instruction and coaching I want to reclaim my sense of well being.

    I hired Melanie for particular chronic pain or my Achilles tendinitis and old I just of slipped disc for general stretching techniques that I can incorporate post my workout routines. Melanie had a lot of knowledge about MFR and easy to follow exercises that I can easily do every day in front of TV using only 2 tennis balls. I love simplicity and effectiveness of her recommendations. Would definitely hire her again for more techniques in the future.

    I loved working with Melanie and cant recommend her highly enough. Melanie is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to movement of the body and yoga in general and she customized it perfectly for me, considering some injuries I have sustained over the years. I thought I would be uncomfortable working with someone 1 on 1, but Melanie makes it really fun and low pressure. I feel stronger in my body and so much less achy since I started working with her. Its like I have more space to move within myself if that makes any sense. This woman is going to go far with her knowledge so I would recommend getting on her schedule now while you can.

    Standard is $120 per session. 10 sessions for $1,000

    I fell in love with yoga when I lived in Costa Rica. It changed my life and my relationship with my body. I became an instructor offer the same to others like me. Everyone person is different and therefore the gifts that yoga offers is different, but with a dedicated practice, it will give you more than you can imagine. 

    I only work with people who are truly interested in getting to know their own bodies and how to move in them.
