About

Liz Fawcett is an accomplished volleyball player and coach, recognized for her dedication and contributions to both club and collegiate volleyball.

She began her club volleyball career at Club Koa, where she played for two years on their highest-level team, 17 Black, under the guidance of esteemed coach Matt Simmons. Liz’s impressive performance and leadership skills on the court later led her to return as a coach for Simmons’ 15 2s team, where she shared her knowledge and passion for the game, helping young athletes refine their skills and grow their confidence.

Liz went on to play collegiate volleyball at Los Angeles Pierce College under the tutelage of Chinese Olympian Hong Zhou. Her commitment and consistent excellence on and off the court earned her the role of team captain, where she demonstrated outstanding leadership and motivation, inspiring her teammates to achieve their best.

Looking forward, Liz will expand her coaching repertoire by serving as the Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach for the varsity program at Milken Community Schools in the spring of 2025. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, team cohesion, and fostering a growth mindset, ensuring her players receive comprehensive guidance both on the sand and in their personal development.

I cant put into words how much Liz has changed my life. When I first started training, I felt lost, unmotivated, and unsure of what I was capable of. From day one, Liz believed in me— even when I didnt believe in myself.
Their patience, encouragement, and unwavering support pushed me beyond what I ever thought possible.
Because of them, I’ve not only become stronger physically, but I’ve gained confidence, energy, and a whole new mindset. Im forever grateful for their guidance and dedication. If youre looking for someone who truly cares about your journey and will help you become the best version of yourself, Liz is the one.
