About
To whom it may concern,
In December 2017, after 8 years of teaching yoga, I graduated from Niroga Institute in Oakland with a 1000-hour Yoga Therapy Certification, which is the culmination of comprehensive training on all levels of human health and rehabilitation of the body and mind.
In the past, I worked for seven years at Craig Hospital, a TBI and SCI rehabilitation hospital in Colorado, where I was first as a Rehab Tech and then a Speech Assistant. This along with the combination of my eight plus years as an adaptive yoga teacher gives me a rich background and understanding of working in rehabilitation.
I have been teaching adaptive styles of yoga for the TBI/SCI population as well as persons with MS, Parkinson's disease and other disabilities.
I have learned that facilitating the care and wellness of others is an essential part of our own well-being. For we are all connected and therefore, the better everyone is doing, well...the better everyone is doing!
My mission in life and through Yoga:
My passions are care giving, art, dance, birth, social justice, and yoga.
In my teaching and facilitating of yoga, I take a very hands-on healing approach.
My emphasis on teaching Yoga includes Vinyasa, mat work, Restorative/Yin and Adaptive Yoga for persons with mobility limitations and for injury and trauma.
Most Sincerely,
Laura Jennifer Nash
