About
I am a former professional athlete and have years of experience in proper mechanics and movement. I played Division 1 volleyball in college, and competed internationally at the professional level for 4 years. I have my 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification through Yoga Alliance. I also am Lagree certified and teach a next-generation form of Pilates at multiple studios in the Denver area. I can offer expert volleyball coaching, and consulting.
I love working with people and being able to change bodies, achieve goals + growth, and build confidence. I love being able to watch clients conquer physical challenges and do things they never thought they would be strong enough to do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by discussing fitness goals and activity level with a new student to get an idea of what they are looking for. From there I can tailor a program, personalized for the student that matches their goals, timeline, and budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Simply put, I have been an athlete my whole life. I have extensive body awareness and understanding of what the proper body mechanics are. I spent 8 years playing volleyball at the collegiate and professional level, and took part in organized weight lifting and workout programming during that time. I am Yoga Alliance and Lagree certified in Yoga and Pilates. I have coaching experience in volleyball and am Impact certified. I also currently teach Pilates across Denver.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching as I saw my role in volleyball start to change. I wanted to stay in athletics and fitness and be able to inspire and motivate, and knew that my platform for that was going to change. I found the Lagree method recovering from a back injury and have been practicing yoga over 5 years. Things all fell into place that I was able to get certified in both, and I fell in love with teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with high school athletes, specifically volleyball players and I have worked with pilates students, both new and veteran, at several studios across Denver.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Looking back on our last Sunday of yoga teacher training was one of my favorite recent moments. We had all graduated and everyone came back to my tiny apartment to celebrate. I am so grateful for the sense of community and connection we fostered during our training together.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research and be as specific as possible when explaining what you are looking for.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about what their fitness levels and goals are. The more detail they can provide on what they are looking to get out of their session, the more personalized it will be for them.
