About
My Yoga is challenging but I make it accessible for each person's unique needs and goals. I've been teaching in Central CT for over 20 years. Yoga will make your body and mind balanced, well, and calm.
I am a certified Kripalu yoga teacher.
It is such a gift for me to share yoga with others and to hear how it has changed their lives in more ways than they expected. So, what I enjoy most is spending time with people who are making a big difference in their lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students fill out a health form and a release form so that they know what to expect and I know about their unique health situation. I speak with them before class and point out certain things to be aware of and perhaps how to modify for their needs. New people can try different classes and see which work for them best for an introductory rate of 4 weeks for $40.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing ongoing training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga in Lenox, Massachusetts. I have been teaching yoga full time for 19 years. I have done the 200 and 500 hour teacher trainings and many, many more trainings for Yoga teachers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
People can pay three different ways. They can choose which way works best for them.
1. There is the series price which is the most economical. It is $12/class but they sign up for an entire series coming to class at least once/week. They can pay $8 for a second class per week. They can also deduct for classes that they know they will be missing when they sign up.
2. There is a punch card price of 10 classes for $150. This expires in 6 months.
3. They can pay as they come. This is $17/class.
How did you get started teaching?
I had many physical problems with my body. When I started doing yoga regularly the problems went away. This was no small feat. I had a very bad back for 15 years and no longer have that and many other problems. I know this sounds silly but it is as if I'm getting younger and younger because I'm getting stronger and more flexible even now at age 55.
What types of students have you worked with?
I enjoy working one on one with people who have some sort of limitation. We have had very good results when I'm able to ask them about their limitations and I can give them a modification that makes them heal. This is very rewarding.
My students are mostly over 45 years old. I specialize with an older population of people at senior centers and retirement homes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is best to do Yoga regularly. Results are amazing after even three consecutive weeks.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There are many styles of yoga. Some are more athletic and some are more therapeutic. It is good to ask the teacher about their style and who that style is good for.
