Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to identify my student's overall goals. I then introduce students to the various layers of boxing. There is a physical aspect and there is a very intense mental aspect and layers to each.
I do not start slow and ease you in but I don't rush my students into any process either. We have to go at the pace of your beginning fitness level. Boxing is one of those sports that you're guaranteed to be in shape just by doing the training. Many people prefer boxing workouts simply to get into shape and have no desire for fighting. I can provide you a 10-minute boxing workout that will give you the same cardio intensity as an hour on the treadmill.
Like many things in this life, you get out what you put in. That stated, we'll start where you are ready and I will work with you to achieve your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a nationally certified fitness instructor and I have over 15 years of hands-on experience with the sport boxing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
You can pay an initial one class fee for your first class, utilizing that class to gauge if you'd like to move forward to train with the full course. Each session is $50 with a $10 fee if the trainer should have to travel to you.
- Payment options after the first class are to pay per training level (Four levels in the entire training course (Basics, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced/Bomber) OR you have the option to pay for a Bomber's Boxing complete training course in full.
I base my training sessions on professional standards, pro boxers typically train 8 to 12 weeks before any pro fight. These classes will get you in similar shape and you'll have assignments to take home that you can do in your free time to get extra workouts in. I accept Cash, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, Visa, and Mastercard.
How did you get started teaching?
I was once a student of boxing of course, I trained privately at home and at local gyms with trainers and other athletes.
Over the years of training myself, I began to recieve compliments on my speed, my knowledge and overall skill when it came to boxing. I began to wonder if I could teach, so I stepped out on faith and took a national exam to be certified to train officially and I passed!
I began training friends and family members to develop a solid routine I believed in and produced real results from. From there I decided to step out further and began accepting all clients. I am now 20 + years experienced with the sport of boxing and I have the perfect routines, excercises, methods, practices or any other word you can think of for training... I have what you need to learn basic boxing fundamentals and tricks for overall skill development.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with (D.M.V) area residents, corporate groups, children, elders, couples and competetive athletes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be confident in your decision-making when it comes choosing a teacher. Be open minded to the lessons and ask questions!
Learn from your teacher how to track your progress this way you will be able to keep up with what you're learning.
