About
As someone with a rare back condition and joint hypermobility syndrome I know how important staying active is. I also know how much yoga has helped me physically, mentally and spiritually, and my classes focus on every area of a person's being.
You can't be whole and healed if you're only working on your spiritual well-being, or only on your physical or mental well-being. You have to work on your WHOLE-BEING.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and became a register 200 hour trainer through YogaFaith May of 2019. Since then I have started additional training to recieve a Yogafaith Nidra and Meditation certificate, as well as a YogaFaith Sozo and Somatics Therapist certification.
I also do things a little differently. I dont take myself too seriously and like to have fun. I laugh a lot in my classes (unless I'm doing something restorative or meditative) and encourage my students to have fun and play. To explore movement in their bodies and use motion to release e-motions. Play and release is essential. Sometimes we need some fun and that's something I enjoy bringing into my classes.
As a Christian yoga instructor I use yoga not only in my personal life to draw my closer to God, but encourage and teach others to do the same. It's creative worship and it enables us to worship God with every part of our being. Through the meditative classes we are able to meditate on Him and the light of Christ within us, and then spread that light throughout the world. Being able to do this is such a gift and I'm honored that I get the chance.
