Yoga is so multi dimensional and has so many applications. I enjoy working with athletes, active older persons and those working with disabilities.
I have been practicing meditation since 1976, practicing yoga since 1984 and teaching since 1998. I studied at Kripalu yoga center. I have also gone to India twice to see my guru Sri Patabhi Jois.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student is different. I have a conversation about their ideas and goals, check in for any injuries or limitations. Then I design a program that is right for their body at that point in time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing yoga since 1984, and teaching professionally since 1998. I studied at Kripalu yoga center for my 200 hr teaching certification. I have traveled to India on several occasions to deepen my understanding of yoga. I have studied with Rodney Yee, Tim Miller, David Swensen and Nancy Gilgoff.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Drop-ins for group classes at Earthsong Yoga studio are $18.
How did you get started teaching?
I had been practicing yoga for over ten years, and my regular class got a new teacher. He was the worst! He did not want to work with anyone that had challenges, refused questions, and was constantly promoting his other businesses during class time. I figured I would just go back to home practice, until the other students asked me to start teaching them. I found Kripalu Yoga center for my yoga teacher training, and came back and started teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with senoirs, professional athletes, people in wheelchairs and those in a hospital setting. I really enjoy introducing people to the Ashtanga yoga system.
I enjoy working with beginners and teaching the basics of yoga, as well as breaking down more challenging asanas and sharing them with students.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is it you are looking to get from a practice? Many people say'reduce stress'. Yoga can help, however it may take more than one class to see what the stressors are in your life and how to deal with them.
