Darby Canessa Vinyasa Yoga + Dance Lessons

I am a 200 Hour certified yoga instructor, and I am currently in the 300 Hour Teacher Training program at Sonic Yoga. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan in May, 2017, with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Communication Arts. I have a strong Dance and anatomy background, so I have a good understanding of how bodies work. I have been practicing vinyasa yoga for about 4 years. I finished the Sonic Yoga 200 hour teacher training program two days after graduating college. It was a rewarding process, and now I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned with others. Shortly after completing the program, I realized that, along with dancing, I want to teach yoga for a living. It brings me so much joy! With that said, I am currently in the Teacher Training program at Sonic Yoga to become a certified 500 hour yoga instructor. The process is great, and I am continually learning more about yoga through various perspectives. I value the relationship between student and teacher, and I believe in exchange through a nonhierarchical process that benefits all involved. I like to create a practice that caters to the individual I work with.
