Divine Encounters yoga embodies all aspects of Yoga, Union. Guidance can come in many forms and because of the dualities and wants in our modern world I like to remain flexible in teaching. Being able to give either a super physical power flow or catering to flexibility or alignment with back pain and body stiffness or a mind-body-spirit concept to align all three bodies through meditation, breathing techniques and movement. A class unfolding a spiritual eliment while progessing in your spirit and fitness journey. Bringing fourth teachings from Costa Rica and BKS Iyengar.

I truly enjoy the connections I make with people on a daily bases, working with all differnt kinds of levels and body types. I love being present through the progress and unraveling of the student in all aspects. Yoga becomes something that you may learn on the mat but carried through out life. I love the energy that is shared in the divine space of a class.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When building a new connection with a client first I  like to learn about their goals as well as any injuries. We then go through foundational yoga techniques to asses flexibility, range of motion, physical and mental strength. We incorporate asanas (yoga poses) into the practice and flow through various yoga sequences while correcting alignment and building a successful practice. We usually end with a meditation and universal sound of OM. Q&A’s and then I leave the student with a small sequence to work on on their own time. 

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied vinyasa yoga, power flow, Hatha, Restorative, Nidra and Kundalini. 

I have experience in B.K.S. Iyengar techniques, flexibility training, Breathing techniques to help release trauma and baggage as well as guiding women in a practice through their pregnancy. 

How did you get started teaching?

I originally turned to yoga for mental health to gain patience, a positive outlook and to become a bit more mindful. From there I realized how much yoga started to have an impact on my everyday life in so many aspects both physically, mentally and the way I communicated throught out my days. My progress really inspired me I became flexible, stronger and began to have a new outlook on health and wellness. I started teaching overseas and private clients then eventually decided to get certified.  

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with various types of students. Students with poor posture, injuries, pregnant, mentally unstable, busy and on the go, children, women, mommy & baby, men, elderly and all body types including but not limited to people struggling with weight issues. I am open to working with every kind of person willing to take conscious action within their wellness journey 

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A recent event I am very fond of is my experience teaching and learning in Costa Rica. Being one with nature and learning ancient rituals that I can bring home to incoperate within my classes have been a true blessing.
