I have taught various age groups. I first began teaching on my own college campus of Montclair State University, where the majority of the class were college age, however there were also faculty members who were always present. What I feel stands out most to my students is I make each student feel equally as important, no matter their skill level. I am always brushing up on the education and proper alignment cues of yoga, so I can comfortably share my knowledge of the human body with my students. I believe teaching my students not just about yoga, but about the anatomy of their body is crucial to their understanding of the importance of yoga to their mind, body and soul connection. I also graduated as an Exercise Science major with a double minor in Dance and Psychology.
Having the opportunity to share my love and passion for yoga is truly indescribable. Everytime I am able to share a word about yoga, my heart is full of gratitude. I enjoy being able to make each class conversational, in regards to checking in with my students injuries and concerns, while doing my absolute best to accomodate each skill level and modify when necessary. When I am teaching yoga I get so tied up in the moment, everything else escapes my mind. My students can always expect my full, undivided attention and a true commitment to their progress in their unique world of what yoga means to them.
