Noble Science Academy: Historical Swordsmanship & European Martial Arts
About
I have the experience to understand not only what works, but why it works. As they work with me, my students will begin to not only understand the Art and develop a system of fencing based upon it, but they will develop leadership skills and a sense of scholarship as they engage with history.
As an instructor, I am able to work directly with historical sources—studying the treatises in German, French, and Italian as appropriate—to ensure my lessons come not only with personal knowledge, but also the depth of understanding that comes from access to the sources.
I love watching my students grow, both as fencers and as leaders. Historical Fencing requires exercising both the body and mind in unison, and it's really rewarding to see it all come together.
