About this pro

Yoga began to make sense to me when I started exploring its eight limbs, rather than just asana alone. When I discovered the difference of coming to yoga with purpose and heart, rather than mind, I was inspired to train in how to teach from this holistic perspective.

In addition to training in anatomy and asana, I spent nine months studying the philosophy of yoga and its spiritual path, and went on to study for a further two years to become a minister of all faiths, studying the mystic teachings of Buddhism, Sufism, Kaballah, Hinduism non-dual teachings and mystic Christianity.

But practice is key - rather than study - and this is the emphasis of my teachings now as a yoga and meditaton teacher: to give students the tools and confidence to put together a practice that is tailored to them.

All lessons incorporate the yamas and niyamas, pranayama, pratyahara and meditation with asana with a focus on awakening.

Personal practice is the emphasis and I encourage students to start following inner guidance.

Meditation focuses on Self-inquiry and methods such as: Loving Consciousness and awareness-watching-awareness which put you in touch with your infinite Being immediately.

I have been teaching yoga and meditation since 2012 in community classes in New York City, at yoga studios, and online.

In addition I have taught yoga at Wanderlust's Stratton Festival, and contribute to their website on yoga philosophy.

**Please note, if you are looking for yoga to work with rehabilitating injuries then I would suggest choosing a different teacher with specific training in that area.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Typically we would sit down for 1.5 hours to talk about your goals - physical, mental and emotional - and what kind of practices you currently have, and would be able to incorporate into a regular practice.

This informal discussion helps me work out how best to structure our time together that would give you a clear and practical path to meet your goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a trained yoga and meditation teacher with Prana Yoga (9 months of training in 2011), and have taught at festivals (Wanderlust), privately (with clients in Manhattan), in yoga studios (ABC Sanctuary, Awakening NYC), and in community (across parks and garden in New York City and for hiking companies in New York State).

I have been a minister since 2015 teaching meditation for Awakening Together and facilitating their ministerial program.

Other trainings: Yuen Method, Reiki 1,2, 3 and Master Teacher volunteering at Beth Israel with in-patients, Matrix Energetics, Flower Essences, Shamanic practices.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing depends entirely on travel and time. Typically, beyond the 1.5 hour introduction which is free, private classes are $75 plus any travel costs.
