About

Hi there!

My name is Kelsey Hefner, and I teach yoga all over the Portland metro area. I have been studying yoga for about 9 years, and have been teaching for 4 of those years. I feel a deep connection to the transformative powers of yoga in all of its aspects - physical, mental, and emotional.

I love to create a one on one unique experience for you and your body. Whether you are a beginner yogi looking to start a yoga practice, or a seasoned practitioner looking to deepen your practice, I am here to help you! I teach mostly vinyasa yoga, but I have experience with Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, and Hatha Yoga as well.

I have taken two separate 200 hour RYS teacher trainings, as well as countless workshops. I am currently working towards my 500 hour certification. Please contact me if you are interested in working with me one on one.

I would love to connect with you! Please follow me on instagram: @kelseyflows

Take care, yogis!

I offer a variety of one on one sessions. I love helping people find connection to their deepest and most authentic self whether it is through asana (postures), deep study of yogic philosophy, breath work, or meditation - I am all in. Please contact me so we can discuss what it is you're looking for in your yoga practice.

Kelsey is a knowledgeable, creative, and talented yoga teacher, both in classes and one-on-one lessons. Her classes feel fresh every time- I always leave inspired by a new pose, transition, or song. Classes are just the right difficulty- always challenging, but also safe, supportive, and not unreasonably difficult. It seems like Kelsey incorporates building-block poses and sequences to move us toward more advanced postures and make her classes build upon each other. At my previous yoga studios, I couldnt see much progress in terms of me getting stronger or improving my practice, but in Kelseys classes, I could from day one. In individual lessons, I have grown even more! Kelsey helps me with lots of fun poses that I either didnt know existed or didnt know I was capable of, and also teaches me weights and other exercises to complement and build my yoga practice. She provides a lot of helpful instruction so that I know how to do poses correctly in classes or in my home practice. A ton of my understanding of yoga, strength, and how our muscles and bodies work is due to Kelsey!

    Frequently asked questions

I like to take extra time to discuss what they are seeking within their yoga practice first so I can develope unique classes and exercises that will enrich each student's life individually. From there we can decide what works for them and what does it and adjust as needed. I want the experience to benefit the student first, always!

I like to offer pricing on a sliding scale based on monthly income. I think yoga should be accesible to everyone. My pricing structure is as follows:

    Monthly household income:

    Bracket 1: $0-3,000 I charge $50/hour or $30/half hour

    Bracket 2: $3,100 - $5,000 I charge $75/hour or $45/half hour

    Bracket 3: $5100 and above I charge $90/hour or $50/half hour

    Packages:

If you buy a package of 3 sessions at once, you get a $5/hour discount.

If you buy a package of 5 sessions at once you get a $10/hour discount.

I started teaching Medical School students several years ago when I took my first teacher training - 2014 in Sacramento California.

    All students.

    Beginners and advanced.

    Older folks and young folks.

    Youth and adults.

People with limited mobility and strength.

I recently taught a donation based fundraiser class in which all proceeds went to an organization called Living Yoga. Living Yoga offers trauma informed yoga classes to youth and adults in places like rehabilitation centers, drug and addiction treatment centers, prisons, etc. It's an amazing organization doing amazing things for the community. I raised over $200 for them through this class!

Choose a teacher that you connect with. Choose someone who has experience with many different aspects of yoga so that you can get the best benefit for your money.
