About
I teach vinyasa (flow style) and hatha (slower pace hold postures). Depending on your needs I adjust the intensity level of the classes. I offer guided meditation and relaxing breathing techniques. I teach out of a studio in Richmond, TX (seen in last two photos on my profile).
Vinyasa
“The core idea of Vinyasa Yoga is to shift emphasis from posture to breath...the only thing permanent in the practice is the constant focus on the breath. And the breath is a metaphor for what is permanent in our ever-changing life—the universe, infinite consciousness or, most of all, love." -Gregor Maehle
Hatha
"We are not doing yoga to build, look at and present our muscles. Hatha yoga is about making the body so strong and so subtle that you do not even know if it is there. We are keeping it well so that it does not become an obstacle." -Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
Yoga has been a source of healing for me. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of yoga with others. There is always something to learn; always room to grow individually and together. I like having the benefit of seeing people open up and feel empowered. I see it as a source of healing for my clients as well.

How did you get started teaching?
I've been practicing yoga on and off for 14 years and before that I danced as a ballerina for 15 years. Yoga brings quality to my life; feeling more stress-free while gaining strength. I personally enjoy the relaxation and fitness benefits of yoga. I have always taught yoga postures and ballet moves to family and friends. I wanted to see what they could do and what I could teach. I made the decision to get my certification and become a professional.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach people who are beginners to people with intermediate experience to more advanced. All age ranges 15-85.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently one of my close friends got married. They had a big outdoor wedding. It was emotional and magical. Love being close with family and friends on days like that.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you feel comfortable with and matches your goals, someone who can answer your questions, a professional with a certification.
What are your goals? Fitness? Are you looking for someone to hold you accountable and challenge you? Are you looking for time in your life to find peace and concentrate on deepening your practice? Is this instructor capable of helping you with your goals?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your main goals? Do you have any injuries or health issues we should know about? Ask questions about your expectations. The more we know the more we can customize your experience and meet your needs.
