Sama Yoga
About
Yoga for adults, children, and groups of all ages. Our classes focus on the slowing the breath and finding depth and ease in each of the asanas.
As a yoga instructor, I get to combine my passion for education and my passion for the practice. Whether I'm teaching in the studio or a school, every day, every class is different. Sometimes I think I learn more about yoga from the practitioners who attend my classes than when I'm the student.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a school teacher for 20+ years working with kids from kindergarten through high school and from those identified as having learning disabilities to gifted/talented. Yoga has been a part of my life since 1999. I completed the Anusara immersions in the early 2000s and studied Hatha Yoga and Meditation in Upper Bhagsu, India in 2014.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Most people choose to attend a group yoga class which are capped at 16 in the studio. The schedule and registration can be found on our website www.samayogahouston.com
How did you get started teaching?
After 5 years of practice I wanted to learn more so I enrolled in the Anusara immersions/training. I knew then that I wasn't quite ready to teach. After I traveled to and studied in India, I knew I was ready and in 2014 I began teaching at the Yoga Collective here in Houston.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from 5 years old to 70+ and from beginners to seasoned practitioners.
