What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with an athlete I first have the athlete go through a sport-specific evaluation to determine what needs specific physical attention. I check the physical and mentalcondition of the athlete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Been a sports training for over 15 years. Have managed the college recruiting process for 68 high volleyball athletes. Trainings over 200 elementary and Middle school athletes Was a former amateur boxer standout in San Antonio, Texas. Turned professional at age 17. Fought as a professional boxer for 4 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Volleyball training starts $50 per hour. Speed and agility training starts at $45 per hour. We also have pricing on volleyball and basketball recruiting and training.
Boxing training start at $50 per session. Each session 1.5hours long. Pricing will vary depending on goals and experience of fighter.
How did you get started teaching?
I always knew I was going to be an athletic trainer. It was just a matter of when and where. Because I started boxing at age 7, I was always in the athletic environment.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with athletes ranging from ages 7-25. Sports including baseball, softball, basketball, boxing, track and field, and volleyball
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You want to find a trainer that is will to teach you the sport that your looking be in. Connecting with you teacher/trainings is every important. Passion for the sport is a definant must have.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think a student should ask themselves, is this what I really want to do? Can I see myself doing something different? Most importantly, am I willing to give 110% daily, no matter what?
