Boxing for fitness has become very popular as of late. However, there are very few actual teachers of the craft. Just like any other fitness exercise, such as lifting weights, if you are lacking in technique, you not only cheat yourself of the end result, you also are susceptible to injury. Fighters look the way we do for a reason. I am Seth "The Killer Bee" Billups, 11-0 6kos. As an amateur I had 4 golden glove titles. Never lost in VA a day in my life. Everything you learn from me will have been battle tested and is sure to have you more than looking capable. Even if you have no intention to fight, don't waste your time, do it right. I will show you how to punch properly. Footwork is my specialty, and you will learn how to connect your hands and feet in motion.
You will gain a better understanding of the way body works, and burn plenty calories. And you will learn how to fight! Whether it's help losing weight, just learning the craft or both, I got what you came for!

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, shapes, sizes and professions. Boxing strengthens the core, tones the muscles, and burns calories like no other activity. For atheletes, the development of hand- eye- foot coordination, conditioning, reflexes and footwork make it the perfect cross training for any sport. For those who want to get in shape, but don't necessarily enjoy exercise, it offers a fun alternative while building strength and cardio, and instilling confidence. For youth, boxing is a great confidence builder. As you progress, you gain a better understanding of the body in motion, respect for yourself and discipline. Results that benefit in athletics, academics and life, in general.
