Founded in 1995, Davis Aikikai is located in Davis, California, and serves the surrounding areas. Under the expert guidance of chief instructor David Birt, 6th dan, they specialize in the Japanese martial art of Aikido. Affiliated with the United States Aikido Federation, they promote a non-violent methodology that emphasizes on neutralizing aggressive energy without causing harm. Students learn to blend and merge with the energy of an attacker, with advanced training available in weapons and Iaido, the art of drawing the steel sword.
