About

My philosophy when working with a new client is based on a holistic approach. As a personal trainer and health coach, my priority is to provide my skills and expertise while providing support that looks at the whole individual. Taking into account my client's emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing is just as important as physical because all external influences will play a role in their choice to exercise, be active, and commit to their goals. I have a very transparent onboarding process which makes it very clear to my clients on what they can expect from me and that I am fully committed to delivering the results they desire.

I enjoy being a personal trainer because it has been my heart's calling. I have always wanted to serve others and make a positive impact in their life through an avenue that I am most passionate about. This has been a channel where I can influence and help people in a way that will motivate them, improve their health, and allow for them to have a longer and more fulfilling life.

Working with Reina has helped me boost my energy level and self confidence. I have lost over 30 pounds in the past year working out with Reina 3-4 times per week at her studio. I’m happy and thankful that she reached out to me and we were able to set up my workout program. I highly recommend Reina to anyone who’s looking for a personal trainer.

    Frequently asked questions

My philosophy when working with a new client is based on a holistic approach. As a personal trainer and health coach, my priority is to provide my skills and expertise while providing support that looks at the whole individual. Taking into account my client's emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing is just as important as physical because all external influences will play a role in their choice to exercise, be active, and commit to their goals. I have a very transparent onboarding process which makes it very clear to my clients on what they can expect from me and that I am fully committed to delivering the results they desire.

From the moment I meet a potential client, I have a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire that I complete with them to determine their goals, obstacles, lifestyle, level of physical activity, habits, and health background which includes injuries, surgeries, or pain. This information is important to gather so I know exactly how to help my client and what they need to work on to progress towards their fitness goals.

After going over the questionnaire, I begin a physical assessment for my client. This assessment is a great indicator and marker for what my client's physical capabilities and limitations are. The client should prepare for the questionnaire, assessment/workout to be 50 minutes in length. After this is complete, I like to check in and see how my client feels, introduce stretching and provide nutritional guidance if they should need to incorporate this. I discuss with my client how many times a week would be beneficial for them to train based on what I observe. This plan is customized based on what fits their financial and physical needs. Once a client has committed and signed up for their training plan with me, I can create a workout plan specific to goals. As a part of my welcome package, I include a "swag box" for the client to take home with them. Committing yourself to a training program is a beautiful step in the process of your fitness journey. I enjoy taking the time to acknowledge this decision and congratulate my clients for wanting to improve their health.

I got started as a Personal Trainer when I realized that life is too short to commit to a career that does not serve you or others. I spent over a decade working for Corporate America, running business operations for many companies large and small. Living my life stressed, working 10-12 hour days, juggling life as a working mom and feeling guilty for time away from my family was wearing on me physically and mentally. I have always been an athlete and have gone through specfic periods in my adulthood of being a gym rat and experienced burn out, mainly because I was focused on weight loss. When the COVID pandemic hit, I decided that is was finally time to gain control of my health, after gaining 35 lbs in just a few short months. Fitness influenced my life in every aspect, this time I had a much healthier mindset. I wanted to be stronger and live longer. I set new goals and competed and placed in my first bodybuilding show after one year of starting my strength training regimen. My personal investment in health, wellness and fitness had me inspired and motivated to help others change their life. I wanted other people to experience what I felt throughout this process. It is possible to overcome advesity, transform your mind and body, set your goals high and achieve them, while feeling amazing doing it! This is when I decided that becoming a Personal Trainer was exactly what I was meant to do. It is the best decision I have ever made in my life and I get to do what I love each and every day.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients, allowing me to have gained extensive knowledge in my field. I work with clients who are athletes, teens, geriatric, performance driven, bodybuilders, overweight, and middle-aged working class. I work with clients who have injuries, need post surgery rehabilitation, and have been diagnosed with degenerative nerve diseases.

A recent event I am fond of is competing in an all~natural bodybuilding show and placing 1st in the Overall Bikini division. My hard work in training and dieting conjoined with my discipline and dedication paid off! My love for fitness, entering the sport of bodybuilding, and my passion to help others is how I discovered what I wanted to do in this lifetime as a personal trainer.

My advice for others when looking to hire a personal training expert is to try a free initial session with a trainer to see if it is a good fit for you. Make sure that your personal goals align well with the trainer you are researching or meet with. It takes a lot of courage to reach the point of committing to a training plan, so it is very important to have a trainer in your corner cheering you on and supporting you on your fitness journey. Most importantly congratulate yourself on taking these steps towards self improvement and changing your lifestyle.

There are a few things to think through before talking to a personal trainer about your needs. It is a good idea to ask yourself if you are ready to commit to ivnesting in your health, how much are you willing to spend to better yourself and feel great, what time of day do you feel the most energized, what are you looking for in a trainer, what goals do you want to set for yourself, and do you need guidance measuring your results or are you just looking to decrease stress? It is important to check in with yourself and your needs so you can get started on your goals with a crystal clear mindset.
