Founded in 1986, Aikido 11th Street Dojo, located in San Francisco, California, offers daily Aikido classes under the direction of Jimmy Friedman, a 6th Degree Black belt. Originally established as a means for self-defense after a tragic event, the dojo has grown beyond its original location, serving a diverse community and promoting Aikido's philosophy of victory over the self. The dojo, part of a healing journey for many, has become a respected institution in the martial arts community in San Francisco and surrounding areas.
