I have been teaching martial arts for over 14 years both in group and private settings, pre schools and after school programs with in the Santa Monica Area. Each private lesson is customized to each individual students goals. whether you are looking to learn how to defend yourself or maybe you are just looking for a great workout. You will build self confidence in how you feel about yourself in all situations.
I offer training in multiple striking arts from a traditional stand point to a more practical and tactical approach as well as a more gently resolve.
I have a degree in advance health and fitness and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, so if you are just in need of a personal trainer to help you gain more strength, lose weight or just maintain a healthy life style I have a program right for you.
I will travel to my students if they are unable to travel to me. Trainining can be conducted indoors, backyard, garage, parks or on the beach.

The biggest thing I enjoy about what I do is seeing how each of my students progresses within their own training goals and the confidence change within themselves. I enjoy seeing the smile on each one of my students faces. I enjoy knowing I have helped my students feel better about themselves both mentally and physically, not becoming a statistic of obesity, or violence. I enjoy seeing the confidence and the discipline in young children and teens. When parents approach me and tell me how much their childs behavior has changed for the better. I enjoy bringing a fun and enjoyable training aspect to each of my students lessons, the more fun a lesson is the more you will learn and retain what is being presented to you and the faster you will progress.

All my sessions with a new student start with an assessment of what their goals are. Basic movement patterns, posture and proper form. I like to know where my students are physically. If its learning a martial art I like to start out with proper stances, hand position and the proper way to trow a punch, kick, block and keep the distance.

I first got started teaching by helping fellow students in classes and always enjoyed helping others. My instructor approached me and asked if I'd like to teach and become an instructor. I attended a extensive instructor apprenticeship program where I would attend multiple instructor workouts and meetings weekly.
I have worked with many students of all ages from 3 years of age to my oldest student of 72.
I have had students with special needs like aspergers, ADHD, Autism and students on the spectrom.
From all walks of life to the deconditioned to the professional athlete.
The most recent event that I am most fond of is achieving is certifing in boxing, my Blue Belt in Brazillian Jujitsu. I am also fond of receiving my degree in advanced health and fitness. So many events i am fond of when it comes to my career as a martial artist and instructor. These all stand out to me as fond memerories and the learning never stops, still many more achievements still to come. Always strive to keep learning.
The best advice I could give a student looking for a teacher is meet with them first, ask if they offer a Free trial lesson and see if they are a correct fit for you or your child.
Ask yourself what are you looking to achieve with your goals and how soon are you looking to achieve them? How often are you looking to work towards your goals?
What injuries or limitiations do you possibly have that you want to make your instructor aware of so he or she may help you work with and around tour limitations if any?
What is your health worth to you?
What is your families health and safety worth to you?
Is your health and safety something that matters more to you then an expensive vacation or car?
