Coach Brinson was my jiu-jitsu instructor some years ago and he is by far the best communicator that I have met in the sport. He is able to translate his own knowledge in such a manner that even a beginner will be able to try new things with confidence. He is very personable and relatable, while also maintaining a high level of respect from his students. I cannot recommend his services enough!

I very much enjoyed the level of care Rico has shown towards the small details to help me advance my game to the next level. He is dedicated and shows true passion of teaching his knowledge with us.

Rico is an excellent coach and mentor. He was my Jiu Jitsu coach for several years and I wish he never had to leave. He takes time to explain every detail in a way that makes it understandable, easy and fun. Rico is a coach that will push and support you to be the best that you can be. His experience and support has left a lasting impression on me and my other teammates; he left a legacy.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I train a woman whom has aged beautifully.  She is well past her 20's but you wouldn't be able to tell based on her movement.  Since her and I met we have focused on balance coordination and maintaining her stunning summertime physique.  2 years ago I exposed her to a movement called a "sitout" to which she laughed and implied she wouldn't be able to achieve that level of mobility at her age.  I am proud to say as of late November 2019 "sitouts" are a regular part of her Designer workouts!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are your goals?

What are your limitations?

Are your goals aesthetic or performance based, maybe both.
