I offer personal training sessions at Iron Horse Fitness in Danville, Ca. My training style is to maximize efficiency by having clients do high intensity LOW IMPACT strength training. It is safer than your typical workout because it requires the client to move as slowly as possible during an exercise with a weight that push them to their limits over a one-two minute time frame. Workout usually last 20-30 MINUTES instead of HOURS!
By emphasizing time that the muscles are under TENSION we are able to recruit more surrounding muscles to help complete the full time just before failure.
I like seeing people push themselves harder than they ever have before! Often times, myself included, people will not push themselves hard enough to get the desired outcome of strength gain or fat loss!
By having a SAFE and EFFICIENT way to work out they will be able to PUSH THE LIMITS OF THEIR TRAINING EVERY SESSION!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I contact all new clients to schedule either an in person or phone consultation to go over the expectations of the client, myself, develop a workout program, as well as sign them up with Precision Nutrition's Legacy Nutrition Program which is a year long nutrition coaching program.
This will all be done before the first training session so that our time in the gym is not wasted and we can GET TO WORK!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in kinesiology (the study of human movement) from California State University East Bay. My focus was in exercise science and nutrition.
I am also a certified personal trainer (CPT) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I specialize in strength training for people of any ability level, athletes, seniors, avid sports enthusiasts, and weekend warriors.

How did you get started teaching?
I got the itch to start personal training in 2015 after having surgery from playing baseball and gaining over 40 POUNDS OF FAT! I went from 215 pounds of a lean, mean, fighting machine, to soft, tubby, and even SCARED TO WORKOUT!
I decided to put my education to use by utilizing the science behind optimizing the human body through exercise and proper diet. After graduation the next year I had lost 30 pounds, gained back some muscle and confidence to go in to the personal training world. Since then I have worked with over 50 clients at 3 different training locations until finding a part time home at Iron Horse Fitness.
What types of students have you worked with?
-I have worked with kids ages 6-18 years old in just about every aspect of baseball (hitting/pitching/fielding/throwing/baserunning).
-I have also worked with adults on the personal training side
