What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Learn the student's needs and wants, and thier background and experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts.
Have been actively involved in firearms training and education for 11+ years accumulating 100's of hours of continuing education in defensive related coursework.
Active firearms competitor with experience in military and civilian firearms competitions to include USPSA, IDPA, Multigun.
Instructor Certifications from CSAT, Surefire, 88 Tactical, and the NRA.
Retired senior NCO, USAF, former member of my Unit's Marksmanship Team.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private Lessons: 200$
Private Lessons are 2 hours in length and include 2 people in the price.
Open Enrollment Classes: 100$ - 200$
Open. Enrollment Classes are 4 Hour Classes or 8 Hour Class and have a Student to Instructor ration of 8 to 1. 4 Hour Classes are 100$ per student, 8 Hour Classes are 200$ per student.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been teaching in one capacity or another since 1995 when I started teaching as a Medic in the Army...I've had a strong attachment since!
